We support the Eagle's Nest orphanage, which has been doing an excellent job for many years. The orphanage in Semarang (Central Java) is run by Dutch people and has a Protestant Christian signature. Around 60 children are staying there. All children go to a school. Due to the chaotic traffic, the younger children are taken to and from school in a van. When the old van was fully run up, the foundation financed a new bus in 2004. The costs that the orphanage must incur for housing a child are approximately 95 euros per month.
We also offer help by contributing to the children's school costs. Depending on the individual possibilities, each child will receive education. As a result, there are prospects for all these orphans. Some children are studying at university; for example, one orphan was able to complete a course of medicine. We are proud that, as a result of the many donations to our foundation, this has proven possible. We hope that this line can be continued in the future. The average annual school costs are 150 euros.
With a donation of 150 euro, a child can go to school for a whole year!
